Control Business Technology Expenses
Our mission is accomplished through removing or drastically reducing costs in the many areas that small businesses have IT expenses. This mission has driven us to combine all the necessary small business tech support activities into one business managed IT service with a per-user price. We learned that pricing per-activity or per-hour was how costs get out of control.
We attack the following areas to achieve our mission.
1) Optimize Staffing Costs: Salary costs is the single most expensive item for most businesses. Your biggest technology cost is not the bill you get from your IT support vendor, but the salary you're paying to the staff while they are waiting to get their problem fixed or waiting for a computer to do something. More impactful, productivity and morale plummets when workers don't trust their tools. Without trust, technology is useless.
2) Reduce Hardware Costs: Several techniques can be used to reduce the considerable hardware and disposal costs that plague most businesses: standardization, leasing, "right-sizing" and hosting are a few tactics that will be examined to effectively reduce and potentially remove these expenses.
Saved Over $4000 per month:
Very soon after we hired Kinetix they implemented a new system that saved us over $4000 per month with better performance and uptime compared to our previous unreliable vendor.
— Crag Garman, CFO Derco Fine Jewelers
3) Eliminate Software Costs: You are most-likely paying for software licenses to several vendors: Vendor A for anti-spam service, Vendor B for anti-viral service, Vendor C for server licenses, and Vendor D for application licenses. The Kinetix service aggregates all these software licenses and provides them at a much lower overall cost to you.
4) Have a Focused Strategy: Focusing on the "what must be done" instead of the "how must this be done" is the best way to accomplish business goals. Information Technology decisions should not be made for technology reasons - they should be made for business reasons.
5) Align Processes to Software Functionality: If you are going to use "off-the-shelf" software, then seek to understand all it's features and how your business processes can be modified and automated. It rarely makes economic sense for a company to create specialized software to meet the needs of business processes. But sometimes it's the right thing to do.
